I cannot seem to change this even after many hours and attempts at updates, registry tweaks and third-party programs. It has occurred with every Windows 10 build, bios, graphics driver update, and at different resolution settings, etc. This has been occurring since the system build 2 years ago. I have a Seiki 4K 39' TV as my main computer screen.Whenever the system resumes from sleep, exits a game, or receives a UAC prompt - Windows will resize everything to the full resolution.

I went so far as to switch computers and still having the same issue.

It doesn change my resolution settings, its just the windows boxes that are cropped and stacked one on the other in the left upper corner, and i have to resize them back to my personal size.

Given that this monitor is a UHD, I would have to remove the video card and install in another machine to test and I just don't have time for that. If none of those work you can have your monitor not go in to sleep mode and just have a blank screen saver as a work around. If you cannot swap monitors see if it has a second input and try that. Try swapping monitors and see if there is a difference. I am using WinSplit Revolution but I do not feel that is an issue as I have used this program on several systems prior to this setup.

I have updated all drivers and still have this issue. I never had this problem on Windows 8 but I was only using a high resolution monitor then, not the 4K. I have to move and resize them each time. But if I lock my computer and after 20 mins the display turns off, when I log back on, all of my Windows are in the top left hand corner in a x size. When I lock my computer and come back a few mins later, everything is great.

I got a new workstation and I did a clean install of Windows 8. I have a weird issue going on and I was hoping someone might have some insight as to why and who I can correct it.
